Home. Again. Ollie dog in my lap at last, ah, the gentle sound of her little snore. The chill is back in the air and everyone is bundling and snuggling again, though the snow-person that graced our neighborhood park for months is but a distant memory. It is time for me to focus again, and begin the final stretch of the construction of the Medic series. It is a difficult and jarring leap after all of these marvelous travels and adventures, and though I feel at peace and restful here at home, I am humbled by the mighty tasks I have ahead of me.
I have just come from a wonderful visit to North Carolina, the land of sweet tea and low country cakes. I judged print competition–and added a few fireworks, encountered undeniable talent and creativity, met some beautiful new people, had some incredible conversations, laughed a lot, hugged a lot, and found some true kindred spirits. I delivered a program on Monday afternoon, from my heart, that I truly hope made an impact, however small, on the lives of those who shared it with me. I am thankful for all of you whom I have met over the past few days, all of your stories, and ideas, for sharing your thoughts, longings, and goals with me. Here is hoping for adventures for everyone, and that our paths cross again so that we can share them.
Below are some images of our gracious and beautiful model, Beth, captured during the studio demonstration in the program on Monday.
Enjoy these images, and stay tuned as I’ll be posting again very soon!
